I'm going to be staying one night before sailing on the Yankee Clipper on April 29th. What is the best transportation from the airport? What is the cost?

Depends on the airport, Vigie (SLU) near Castries or Hewanorra (UVF) on the southern tip.

SLU is right in Castries, a short ($20?) cab ride will do, well if you're staying near Rodney bay anyways.

UVF is a ~90-minute ride, I wont guess at the cost since the last time I did it was '96.

If you are arriving into UVF by 3:00 pm, I have a taxi arranged to take us to rodney bay. cost will be about $20/each!

I'm sorry, I forgot that there was 2 airports. We will be flying into SLU.
Tigger, will you be on the Clipper April 29th? I can't wait to see all the ships in the same place. That will be great!! We are staying at the Bay Gardens the night before the cruise.
Is there alot of cabs at the airport? We will arrive about 9:00pm.

Hi: Sailed the YC March 18-24th. Flew into Hewanorra and stayed in Rodney Bay. We used Fabian Tours/Taxi - he's the best. Our flight got cancelled and we had to change our plans with Fabian and he was great - e-mailing me at 10:00 p.m. Saturday night. Cost from airport to Rodney Bay is $75 for 1-4 people. We also went on a short tour with him and he picked us up at the hotel to get us back to the airport, always on time, if not early, and you can always reach him on his cell phone. Hi,
My friend & I arrived at Hewanorra @4:00 pm on Sat March 17th. Her luggage did not make it from Philly so by the time she filled out the necessary paperwork it was about 6:00 before we started looking for a taxi. It was $80.00 for the both of us. We were stating at Bay Gardens which is about 45 min from the airport (I think Rodney Bay?). If you can share a cab or have at least 4 people in your group it is about 20.00 per person.
By the way, she did get her luggage by Sunday night. They arranged to bring it to the YC as we were already on board.

We have a bunch of us arriving on 4/29. is arriving into SLU on 4/29 and staying at the Bay Gardens. There are bunch of us at the Coco Kreole/Palm. On Monday we are thinking about doing an island tour. When we get more details, we will let you know.
Can't wait to meet up with all the jammers that are going to be in St Lucia that weekend.!!
