Can anybody provide feedback or make a recommendation about cabin 29 on the YC? We're currently booked in Cabin 15 . . . is Cabin 29 bigger / better? Should we switch?

Thanks,
MandM

MandM,

I just posted a Deck Plan for the Yankee Clipper on this board. Take a look at that and you will see Cabin 29 and it's relative size and location to Cabin 15 and other cabins.

If Capt. Neil says 15 stay in 15, he should know better then anyone in the fleet! I am sure from past passenger’s compliments & complaints he knows where to stay! As past Capt of YC, PY, MY, etc he should know the ships inside & out!

Amanda & Ralph both stayed in 29 and had to do a shimmy to get into the head. The door opens into the head and doesn't open all the way, it is blocked by the toliet.

Back off get your own.. I'm currently in 15 and am freezing my butt off .. air conditioning is on overload, but it makes for a great night sleep.

cheers

I was fortunate enough to be able to sleep WITH a roomie for a change. :thumbsup So we put some of the diving stuff on top berth, and stacked the luggage against the door at night. To get dressed, we would put that stuff in the companionway where there was a conveneint shelf.

HOWEVER......... ANY CABIN IS BETTER THAN NO CABIN!

All you have to do is keep repeating "any cabin is better than no cabin" My first trip I don't know who mixed up what but I arrived and checked in on the Poly was told we have no room for you. Seems someone in the office hit the wrong button or box check changing my gender. All female shares were taken so WJ was in a pickle as to what to do with me. I was handed another rum swizzle(as if I needed one was buzzed when I arrived) and told not to worry something would be worked out. It did all work out and I ended up in a single share at the price of a quad, when the quads used to hold 6 people. It was an interesting stowaway for a newbie to say the least.

Last trip on the YC I was in I think cabin 20 tight quarters there too. The door kept banging off the commode when I opened wide. If I just wasn't so overly endowed :dunno

BTW Ralph excellent picture, really captures your spirit :rofl
