Where did you find the tour? Is it on the WJ site?

Be sure they know that the ship is anchored on the Caribbean side - not Panama City side.....

Looks pretty cool. Will that be an option on the Repo trip for the Legacy?

We are looking at this tour, too. It says that you don't need to purchase the hotel transfer which will be an $85 savings, so this tour ends up being around $50. Can't beat that!

The tours mentioned on the WJ site are all pre or post cruise...does anyone who's done this trip know of any types of excursions besides the scuba diving?

I'm just trying to think about if I should just invest in a comfy beach chair and sturdy beer cozie (yes Kim I've got many!) or will there be tours to do during the cruise? ;)

Unless things have changed greatly there are no excursions during the San Blas cruise.

There is just no where to go to. The islands are tiny and most of the ones you will visit have a population of zero (one island had a population of two) To give you an idea of the size, most of the islands were smaller than the island the ships visit in Tobago Cays and have no buildings, no stores, no bars. (get used to the Windjammer Beach Bar)

I did the trip the first summer they offered it and it is a great trip. You will be able to meet the native Kunas who are great and awesome and catching lobster and crabs. In the morning, they will row their dugout canoes to the ship and sell you fresh crab and lobster for CHEAP!

Other than than, it's beach day, every day. There is one visit to a Kuna village which is cool as it is like National Geographic in person.

When we visited in 2004 there were no "tours" during the cruise. You do stop and visit a Kuna village (on the "big island") and it really is like something out of National Geographic!! Other than that, hanging at the beach is all there is to do. There is a good place to eat in Portobello called the Three Canons. A group of us ate there in '04 and had a wonderful lunch. Think local seafood :drool
