Hello Jammers!

Hello TaterSalad and Tigger! Thank you for the kind words! As always, it is nice to hear from other Jammers! Yes, it is nice to know that it is swizzle-time somewhere. Ahhhh, I'm daydreaming.
Wednesday night, yes, I had my lip gloss put on and my face powdered up. A big thanks to Melissa from California and Bunny from Florida. There we were in the light coffee-brown exterior of the Mandalay dining room when others started to come back from the boat races on the Legacy. For my halter top, the ladies tied together a bunch of red Mandalay dining napkins. I wore a purple wrap around my legs for a dress. Dian from the Mandalay offered two oranges to use as my breasts, but they kept sliding around so I was lopsided all night long. Everyone could not believe this was me.

I looked in a mirror and I said, "Oh, no! I look stupid!" and I laughed so hard that one of my oranges fell out and landed right on my sun-burned foot. I looked like one of those goofy head-hunters that would occasionally appear on "Gilligan's Island". Man, was I a shock to look at.
Everyone got into this costume night, and even those that just dressed up like a usual pirate looked very good! I think the important thing is even if one did not have much of a costume, they need to join the fun. There were alot of good costumes out there. The atmosphere was good, as everyone on the Mandalay was laughing and talking and ready to party on the beach.
We were a procession of pirates, wenches, and many other characters as we walked down the torchlit path that led to the beach and the barbecue. I could smell the food and my stomach went "aaaarrrrrgh"! Barbecue chicken, ribs, rice, salad, vegetables, cookies, we were well-fed.
The people that lived on the island gathered around to watch us. It was almost like a tropical Madi-Gras. But make no mistake, tonight is big. The music was loud and upbeat and we ate, drank, and danced.
Next: The Dancing and Captain Matt's big irony, and, of course, Captain Barebutt Morgan. Happy sailing and best regards, Windjeffer
