I'm thinking about taking my first Windjammer cruise during Pirate Week in October. Any suggestions on what ship I should sail on and what I can expect. Thanks <p></p><i></i>

We have been on both the YC and the Mandalay for PW, for two years, and much prefer the Mandaly. The crew and Capt were great and went back the next year on the the Mandalay . Either one the trip will be fun. That is just our personal preference. <br>

It seems hard to believe that your first WJ was only in 2003. It seems like you have so much knowledge and that you have been on lots. But then again, my first was right before the 1st PW in 2003 and now i am making plans to be working on the Poly by this time next year. STrange how that works.<br>

Every ship, and every year was different. It's safe to say that the 2003 Mandalay was the strong team, but in 2004 the Yankee Clipper on PW2 was way more into the whole Pirates thing compared to the Mandalay. It just depends on the individuals who are on your cruise. I know that there are plans for a few of 2004 Yankee Clipper pirates to return and I know you would have a great time with any of them.<br>

Whichever you choose, you are bound to have fun, fun, and more fun. Hanging out with passengers from all three ships is the best! The captains, bartenders and staff on all of the Windjammers are the best and make every trip an adventure. As for me, I will be on the Mandalay for my third Pirates week. Can't wait!<br>
