I heard that the Passion trip to Mystique is no longer. Are there any trips to Mystique any more from Bequia? I loved that trip and was looking forward to doing it this summer.

As of 2 weeks ago your information is sadly correct. We too were looking forward to that one as one of the other passengers raved about it. However they were no longer there.

this :sailboat link is a way to get there, but nothing like the Passion cruise. :sad

OK so I'm a slow typist. :ditto was the one I was talking about.

No more Falls of Baliene, no more Mustique??? :bigcry ????
What happened with Passion? Did he finally sell it? I know Marty was getting burnt out and was wanting to sell out and go back to flying. Damn, I was hoping to win the lottery and buy it from him :)
I do know that Capt's Earl and Wayne from St. Vincent at least used to take the power boats to Mustique. Kinda nice as you get more time on the island and Earl stopped at the uninhabited island off Bequia on the way back for some quiet time. It was a nice trip so maybe an alternative but I don't know about doing it through WJ. I did it when I stayed on Bequia but it might be worth a shot to talk to the AM about it before you get to Bequia.

I, too, was hoping someday to take the Mustique Passion cruise but oh, well. But what do you mean about no more Falls of Baliene? Is Earl no longer doing that tour?

The falls have been having "slide" problems with all of the nasty weather during the last year. They're still offering tours, just not to the falls. I hear that they have plans to clear it up though, just not sure when.:dunno

Yeah, if you want to see falls, you need to either:
1) Go with Mandoo on Grenada
2) Go with Shal on St. Lucia
3) Give ralph rum

On St. Vincent the last 2 times, Wayne took us to "the other" Falls of Baliene. After a short hike up the Lava flow we came to a cliff that had a trickle of what we presumed to coming be from about 10 rasta-men drinking beer above us. The puddle was not even large enough to put 1 foot into. This year when we returned, I think 6 of them must have passed out though as it was far less.

The boat ride was fun though, and Wayne's "special" Punch packed a wallop too!

Wayne is now running a trip to Mustique via speedboat. The Falls of Baliene trips have been tough to acccomplish 2ndary to rain and slides. I wasn't able to take that trip, to much going on maybe next time. Mixed reviews but none bad.
What :ttiana posted regarding :raincloud2 is true. I usually visit this time of yr and have run into slides temporarily closing the airport etc in the past but the amount of rain is unbelievable. Having said that a rainy day in the :island2 is better than no day ;) The good thing about it was lots of time to catch up on some much needed sleep and just being lazy. Situation I have been dealing with in St. Vincent was pretty intense those first few days prior to the cruise. Lets just say it was a working vacation and I didn't ever really leave the hospice mode for very long even when aboard ship. So rain or not my batteries did get a recharging and I was rested and ready for the weekend on St. Vincent.
I would post a trip report but truthfully it wouldn't be a very good one and I know I missed alot of what went on. Little did I know back in September when I booked what it would turn out to be.
Bittersweet, it's hard enough to say goodbye when all is well. This time I was seeing a dear friend ( short of a miracle ) for the very last time. Needleess to say my mind really wasn't focused during the week. I did meet some wonderful new friends and as far as WJ they are keepers. I'd sail with them again in a heartbeat.
As for the list of crew I didn't do such a good job of getting that info but I'll give you what I remember.
Capt Julian but he will be off during the holidays. He did tell me his replacement and if I'm correct it is to be Cesar.
Sly is still 1st mate but had some time off too. Not sure why.
Thom pretty much took over for Sly
Blaze, Michael, Kervin deck crew
Oxford off on some escapade so Chris is helping Jack with bartender duties.
Turbo will be back at Christmas, Dahlion is chief steward for the time.
Jermaine, Sean, Conrad stewards.
Bree is pursor but I believe she may be taking some time off during the holidays.
Again I a[ologize for not being so accurate but for reasons out of my control my mind was elsewhere.
To all of you sailing in the next few weeks fair winds and hopefully much less rain.
Happy Holidays

Girl, don't worry about a TR, we don't need it. there were several on the ship before you and we have all done time in those islands.
I am glad that you were able to just be there. Especially spending time with Ardon. I am sorry that his outlook is not good and this was probably your last time seeing him. I am just glad that you got that chance.

Take care dear.

Sorry to hear that the speed boat trip to the falls is no more. We have done it 6 times, not for the falls but for the speedboat trip up the coast and the lunch. Several times we never left the boat but just went fishing with Wayne off the coast. A really nice way to spend the day.

Granny,
The trip is still there, just not to the falls. So no worries, you can always hang with Wayne!

Two weeks ago I went to Mustique with Wayne on the speeboat tour off of the Yankee Clipper. It was a rough day on the water but that made the the trip even more fun. Wayne said he has a new bigger speedboat on order and plans to continue these tours. The Passion was sold about a month ago and won't be back.

I did talk to some people who went on one of the last trips to the falls two weeks earlier. They were very disapointed, the mudslides upstream had cut the falls down to about as much water as comes out of a garden hose. That trip probably won't be back unless the waterfall is restored.
