Windjammer Barefoot Cruises ceased operations in late 2007 after the ships, crew and passengers were left abandoned in various ports of call. Although no official statement was provided by the company, the arrest and eventual public auction of Mandalay and Polynesia indicated that the company would not be resurrected. Subsequently, the home office in Miami went into foreclosure and was also sold at public auction. Many long-time customers suffered significant financial losses as a result of cancelled cruises, unused Sail 5 and Sail 10 packages, and worthless investments in the La Mer timeshare project. In addition, employees and crew suffered the loss of wages and benefits.

Plans are well underway for our 14th Annual Jammerfest. This year, we're doing things a little differently...we're going on a foofoo! But don't worry, we still know how to do things Jammer Style. Pre/post cruise stays will be at the Catalina Hotel, directly across from the Surfcomber.

The Oasis is a 78' Southern Ocean Ketch built in England owned and operated by former Windjammer Captain Julian Legg. Sailing the Grenadines, she carries up to 8 guests and 3 crew. Options include fully-crewed charters at daily rates, as well as crewed yacht charters - like a bareboat charter with an experienced skipper.
